DECEMBER 30, 2014 -– JERSEY CITY, NJ -- The Hudson County Genealogical & Historical Society, one of the only genealogy and family history groups focused entirely on the study of Hudson County, New Jersey, is pleased to announce the agenda for its January 10, 2015 Meeting.
Dr. Jean Wisner Dupon is a former Jersey City native who has lectured to many groups in the past on Polish genealogy and history. On January 10, 2015 she will present “Finding your Polish Roots.” A 1976 graduate of the former Academy of St. Aloysius, MIT and Northwestern Universities, Dr. Dupon maintains a website specializing in the Jersey City and Bayonne Polish communities, Polish Relativity, at www.jwdupon.net/genealogy/polish.html.
The Hudson County Genealogical Society Meeting will be held on January 10, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Secaucus Public Library's Panasonic Room located on the 2nd floor of the library at 1379 Patterson Plank Road, Secaucus, New Jersey. Admission and parking are free.

The Hudson County Genealogical Society, a 501 (c)(3) New Jersey Non Profit Corporation, was formed in October 2007 to promote the study of genealogy and the history of Hudson County. The goal of the society is to collect, preserve and index this information in cooperation with local libraries and internet resources, to encourage adherence to the highest standards of research and documentation, to offer educational programs such as lectures, seminars and workshops and to promote the observance of Family History month.
